Welcome to the website for the AERFAI Summer School 2008 (AERFAISS-08) organized by the the AERFAI (Spanish Association for Pattern Recognition) in collaboration with the the Computer Vision Center (CVC), Catalonia, Spain. The Summer School witll focus on New Trends in Pattern Recognition for Motion Analysis (PRMA'08),

This event is open to any researcher or PhD-student who is interested in learning or refreshing their knowledge about the most novel and successful pattern recognition techniques for motion analysis in computer vision.

The Summer School is organized as a one-week intensive course. Leading experts in the field will present a theoretic tutorial in the morning followed by an afternoon session devoted to specific applications of the presented techniques. The first two days will focus on standard knowledge (pattern recognition techniques, color and texture analysis). The last three will address new trends for motion analysis (including human action, driver assistance and video surveillance).
