This conference replace the biannual events of Spanish
and Portuguese Associations (AERFAI and ARPR) national
conferences. We invite researches, students, academicians
and participants to contribute Papers from all areas related
to Computer Vision, Image Analysis, Pattern Recognition,
Speech recognition. Also we are looking to new applications of these techniques in areas that include videoconference,
motion detection and human tracking, speech applications,
thinking in the new frontiers of information society programs
(IST) were the image and audio information is fundamental
in communications process. Authors are invited to submit
contributions addressing one o more of the following (nonexhaustive) list to of major areas/topics:

· shape and texture analysis

This International Conference is expected to be the first in a series of similar events organized every two jointly between Portuguese and Spanish associations in Pattern Recognition and Image analysis. Its mission is to foster co-operation between Iberian and international scientific community in all areas within of the scope of the IAPR. International members are very welcome to promote this event . The interest of the program and organization committees are guide to share new knowledge into topics above mentioned and increase the co-operation between research teams. Very well renowned speakers have been invited to give the invite talks.
